— Concert Choir —
The Trabuco Hills High School Concert Choir is a 60+ voiced, non-auditioned, beginning level ensemble which consists of freshmen through seniors. These students learn the developmental techniques of vocal performance, vocal health, musicianship, history, and musical collaboration. Throughout the academic year, Concert Choir partakes in quarterly concerts with the various ensembles within the THHS Vocal Department. This includes The Festival of Choirs in October, the Winter Concert in December, the POPS Concert in March, and the Summer Concert in May/June. On occasion, the ensemble will perform off campus throughout the Orange County community and partner with various local high schools for choral exchanges to outreach and promote the importance of a musical education amongst our youth.
Members of Concert Choir have an expectation to uphold good moral character as representatives of the Trabuco Hills High School Vocal Department. Honor, humility, and respect hold as the team’s primary pillars to create choral music while honoring its family values.

August of 2021 marked the beginning of my first year at Trabuco Hills High School. Going into my junior year of high school, during a pandemic, at a new school, after almost two years of online school, I was understandably nervous and unsure of what to expect from life at Trabuco. I decided to join the Vocal Department because of my deep and lasting love for music, and it was the best decision I could’ve made. I had no idea that my choice would have such a significant (and positive) impact on my life.
My love for music and musical expression began when I took part in my first musical theatre show in first grade; I have since participated in 18 shows, taken voice lessons, dance lessons, piano lessons, taught myself how to play guitar, and developed a love for songwriting. Music is truly an art form and it has changed my life in more ways than I can count. Yes, it is (most of the time) beautiful, but it is also so much more than that.
I’ve had the privilege of experiencing the epitome of what music is during my time in the Trabuco Hills Vocal Department. Through music, 30+ people that had never met each other before August of 2021 have formed a tight-knit community that produces wonderful sound but more importantly, that loves and respects one another. I have made connections and built friendships here that will last a lifetime and I am eternally grateful for that. One day I would love to be a part of a more advanced ensemble, but there is a special bond between myself and my fellow Concert Choir members that is as beautiful as the music we make.
